Diana Aquino is an experienced Marketing and Project Manager whose background includes roles with the digital media and broadcasting company VICE Media, and the world’s largest enterprise-grade user lifecycle management platform, Upsight.
Jordan serves as an advisor to IDG on corporate strategy and capital requirements. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Minor in Commerce from the University of British Columbia and is a CFA® charterholder while serving as a Director of the CFA Society Vancouver. Over the last decade he has worked in the Canadian public venture capital industry in various roles with TSX Venture listed companies specializing in management, corporate finance and strategy, as well as capital raising. Jordan is the President and CEO of Skyharbour Resources Ltd, a TSX Venture listed company with multiple institutional investors and strategic partners including NYSE listed Denison Mines as well as Orano, a large French multinational specializing in nuclear power and renewable energy. He is also the founder and CEO of Rockridge Resources Ltd., a newly listed copper and battery metal exploration company on the TSX Venture Exchange. Jordan has an extensive network of institutional and retail investors, bringing valuable relationships to the company.
John is Chairman of Jindalee Partners, Strike Energy Ltd and Sapien Cyber Ltd. He is a Board Member of the Future Fund Board of Guardians (Australia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund) and a Director of Crown Resorts Ltd. John is also the Chairman of Council of Christ Church Grammar School and Giving West. He has previously served as the Chairman, Deputy Chairman or Non-Executive Director of a number ASX listed companies, Australian Federal Government boards, education institutions and not-for-profit enterprises. John is an officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia and is a past recipient of a Western Australia Citizen of the Year award in the industry and commerce category. John has been a member of YPO for nearly 30 years and served on the Global Board. He was Chairman of YPO Innovation Week in Australia and helped support the launch of EO in Western Australia. John holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an honorary Doctor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.
Brian is Chairman of SilverBull Resources Inc., and a director of BlackPearl Resources Inc., Denison Mines Corp., Lucara Diamond Corp., and ShaMaran Petroleum Corp. Mr. Edgar has broad experience working in junior and mid-size natural resource companies and previously served as President and CEO of Dome Ventures Corporation (2005-2010) and on Dome’s Board of Directors (1998 – 2010) until it was acquired by SilverBull in 2010. A graduate of the University of British Columbia law school, Brian has practiced corporate and securities law for over 16 years.
Yoshito Hori is the Managing Partner of Globis Capital Partners and President of GLOBIS University, which he founded in 1992 and built it into one of Japan’s leading business schools. Mr. Hori founded Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization (YEO) Japan Chapter and was the first Board Member in charge of YEO Asia Pacific region. Currently, Mr. Hori is a trustee of the Keizai Doyukai (Japan Association of Corporate Executives), and serves as co-chair of WEF’s Global Growth Companies. In 2008, he launched the G1 Summit – a Japanese version of the WEF’s annual Davos forum. This led to the foundation of G1 Summit Institute in 2013, which Mr. Hori serves as Representative Director. Mr. Hori received his BS in Engineering from Kyoto University and his MBA from Harvard Business School. He has authored several books including Six Dimensions of Life; Personal Mission Statement; The Case-Method Approach to Strategic Entrepreneurship; and Venture Management Revolution.
Myles Sherman is a life-long serial entrepreneur and investor, having started his first company at age 23. Myles typically invests in five opportunities annually and currently has investments in the US, London, Canada and France. He is currently; Interim CEO and Chairman of the Board of Revolution Insurance Technologies and Chairman of the Board of Rezilient Direct, insurance technology companies. He is also Chairman of the Board of Design Basics, an online house plan business, Board Member and Founder of San Luis Spirits, a USA liquor business, Founder and Board Member of FLoShield, a medical device company, Board Member of Workify, an H/R tech venture, Founder and Board Member of Keystone Bank – along with various other small business and Real Estate entities. Myles has also been a member of the Entrepreneurs Organization for the past 27 years and served on EO’s Global Board from 2003-2006, and served as EO’s Global President in 2005.
Kenny joined Mojio as Chief Executive Officer and Director in November 2015. He is responsible for leading the company on its mission to give every vehicle a voice. Kenny has previously led three disruptive, venture backed companies as CEO: Ubidyne, a provider of active antenna systems for the global wireless market and winner of the GSMA Innovator of the Year Award; NemeriX (sold to Qualcomm in 2009), which set the world record for low power GPS chipsets for smartphones; and iGo, a company Kenny also founded, that has sold more than $1B in mobile power products to date. Kenny holds an MBA from Stanford, where he now guest lectures for the engineering entrepreneurship program.
Praveen has been a driving force in the Vancouver business world. He obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 1987. Following that, he was with KPMG from 1987 to 1991 where he obtained his C.A. designation in 1990. He is a long time member and past President of the Vancouver chapter of The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) and a founding director of the Vancouver chapter of The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TiE). Mr. Varshney was a 12 year member of the Sauder School of Business Faculty Advisory Board, a former Director of The Vancouver Board of Trade, and a past recipient of Business in Vancouver’s 40 Under 40 Awards. He is also a director of the Varshney Family Charitable Foundation, a SVP Vancouver Partner, and a Director of OneProsper.org. and a Founding Member of Instruments Beyond Borders. He’s also on the Advisory boards of Room to Read – Vancouver, Heart & Stroke Foundation – BC Yukon and The Thomas Edison Innovation Foundation in New Jersey, USA.
